Festive Frenzy: Create Your Own Taikoo Place Holiday Traditions

The scents of nutmeg and cinnamon, sparkling ornaments, presents under the tree…it’s that wonderful time of the year again! No matter how 2020 has been for you, now is the time to relax and celebrate. Soak in the festive mood by starting your own holiday traditions around Taikoo Place!

Enjoy festive tunes with the White Christmas Express

It’s always been a Taikoo Place tradition to bring holiday cheer to the community through uplifting music performances. This year, the White Christmas Express will stop by Taikoo Place on 7 and 9 December; hop onboard during lunchtime and happy hour to enjoy festive tunes! That’s not all: young artists and local stars, including Eman Lam, Terence Siufay, Tang Siu Hau, Terence Lam, Yoyo Sham and Operation Santa Claus Ambassador Pakho Chau, will bring you six joyful gigs on 7-18 December. The online concerts will be live-streamed via the Facebook pages of Swire Properties, the White Christmas Street Fair and KKBOX at 9pm every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Pick a song you want them to play on White Christmas Street Fair’s Facebook channel. For every new “Like” on the page, Swire Properties will donate HK$10 to Operation Santa Claus, so you know you’re also spreading love and happiness to those in need in Hong Kong.

Share a feast with your team

What holiday is complete without a hearty meal? Luckily, there’s no shortage of restaurants with special seasonal menus around the neighbourhood, so enjoy a festive lunch with your team! Plat du Jour has just introduced a continental Christmas menu, featuring mains like slow-roasted turkey crown, bouchot mussels and lamb navarin. FRITES in Oxford House has also prepared a selection of four classic roasts – turkey ballotine, beef, suckling pig and chicken cushion – for your feast. If you prefer eating in the office, why not order catering? La Rotisserie’s Festive Menu includes a range of favourite dishes such as free range turkey, Barbarie duck and French capon to delight every palate. Find more delicious options on Taikoo Social.

Capture the moments on camera

Capture the unique Christmassy moments on camera so you can revisit these warm memories anytime you want. In Taikoo Place, there are many photo opportunities with vibrant decorations around the lobbies. Look closer and you’ll see these colourful Christmas trees and ornaments are made from natural wool. As part of Taikoo Place’s Sustainable Development initiatives, the materials will be upcycled into handcrafted trinkets or donated to charities after the season, so come take a snap with these extraordinary woollen pieces before they’re gone!

Create memories with your family at Cityplaza

Feasts, photos and merry music aside, the holidays are really about connecting with your loved ones. This month, Cityplaza will join forces with a secret group of 99 ‘The Christmas Agents’ to turn the shopping centre into a Jolly Hideout with festive gifts and laughter for all. Come with your kids as they’ll love the games that challenge their vision, speed, reflexes and strength. Finally, make your own set of four limited-edition commemorative coins with the Twirly Coin Maker, so you can bring home something that’ll remind you of this special day.

*Events and social distancing restrictions are changing fast, so do check with the venues and take note of the latest government announcements before you head out.
