Cooley Oysters

Fresh, briny and delectable oysters from Ireland are now here in Quarry Bay at this new take-away outpost of Cooley Oysters. Their premium quality, sustainably-farmed “Cooley Gold” oysters, flown in directly from the east coast of Emerald Isle, are perfect for an office party, an early evening apero, or a special dinner at home. Beyond oysters, Cooley offers a range of seafood including Japanese scallops, Canadian lobsters and wild-caught tuna from New Zealand.

Villa Villa Burger

This new Quarry Bay burger place may be small, but it definitely packs a big beefy punch. Villa Villa’s mouth-watering menu starts with a classic burger option–a juicy US Angus beef patty topped with caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, butter lettuce and tomato. If you are in the mood for something different, try their Lemon Chicken Burger, or–even better–their spicy Thai-style shrimp cake sandwich.

New Balance Store

Those of us who spend a lot of time on our feet–and who doesn’t in Hong Kong?--will welcome the Cityplaza opening of this popular athletic and leisure shoe store. New Balance is a 75-year-old American company known for its comfortable, versatile, and high-quality products, with an exclusive line of shoes still “Made in USA.” They offer footwear for men and women, as well as an innovative “gender neutral” category of shoes and athletic wear.

The go-to store for all your family’s footwear needs is now opening a convenient Cityplaza branch. Tong Chong Street Market

At last, it’s back! Tong Chong Street Market returns to Taikoo Place on June 6th with a new theme, “Bite To Change”, and a renewed commitment to helping everyone form more sustainable, less wasteful food habits. Come to the market to learn more about how your small efforts can make a big difference–and to savour the delicious offerings of new market vendors, including creative sandwich shop uen cafeteria, coffee shops Bad Ass Coffee and Fineprint, Thai eatery Mak Mak, Matchali tea shop and Live Zero sustainable grocery.

BOOKS FOR LOVE @ $10

The much-missed book sale is back!

“BOOKS FOR LOVE @ $10” is a way to share the joy of reading in a green and affordable way. The event’s in-person book sale, postponed due to the current pandemic, returns to Taikoo Place from 25 June to 3 July.

To mark the event’s 10th anniversary, the book sale is offering a “Buy 10 for 11” scheme. All books are on sale at a standard price of HK$10 each. Proceeds will benefit the Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong (BGCA) and the Agency for Volunteer Service (AVS).

SOS (Sustainable Office Solution)

MINIONS 2 House of Kung Fu at CITYPLAZA

Chapter 2 of the animated film series, Minions: The Rise of Gru is about to be released–and this new movie finds our zany yellow goggle-wearing friends learning to master the art of Kung Fu! To celebrate the movie, Cityplaza has created a mini-Kung Fu theme park “summer camp” on the second floor of the Atrium and Centre Bridge. Here, kids of all ages can meet the Minions, learn Kung Fu moves, and participate in Minions-themed games and challenges. See the movie, then experience it as it comes alive at Cityplaza from 17 June to 31 July.
