One Taikoo Place Reaches Major Milestone with 100% Occupancy

Multinational companies including AXA Investment Managers, EY, Eversheds Sutherland, JLL, Kering and Royal Bank of Canada confirmed as new tenants of Swire Properties’ latest triple Grade-A office tower

Swire Properties today marked a major milestone by reaching 100% occupancy for its newest triple Grade-A office tower, One Taikoo Place. The Company has secured commitments from over 20 new tenants – mainly multinational corporations from the professional and financial services sectors, as well as a premium co-working space operator – to lease offices in the tower.

Over 60% of the one million sq ft of premium office space available at One Taikoo Place has been leased by the professional services sector, including legal, financial, insurance and consultancy services; while a variety of sectors such as communications, luxury retail and environmental services have committed to the remaining space. Swire Properties is pleased to announce that leading global professional services organisation EY will take up eight floors at One Taikoo Place, totalling 160,000 sq ft, to join Baker McKenzie, one of the world’s largest international law firms, and Facebook, the world’s best-known social network, as key tenants of the building. In addition, one of North America’s leading financial services companies, Royal Bank of Canada, will take two floors at One Taikoo Place, totalling 44,000 sq ft.

Other major international organisations that have committed to making One Taikoo Place their home include: JLL, one of the world’s largest property consultancies; AXA Investment Managers, a global asset manager; Eversheds Sutherland, a global law practice; Kering, an international luxury group and The Great Room, Singapore’s renowned hospitality-led co-working space operator.

A Leader in Sustainable Development
Located in the heart of Taikoo Place, One Taikoo Place is the first of two new triple Grade-A office towers in Swire Properties’ HK$15 billion Taikoo Place redevelopment project. One Taikoo Place has been constructed according to the highest standards of building sustainability, and has received a multitude of recognitions and awards. These include BEAM Plus Provisional Platinum and LEED Precertification Platinum, as well as WELL Precertification Platinum.

Completed in September 2018, One Taikoo Place has been handed over to the first batch of tenants for fit-out. One Taikoo Place and its sister tower Two Taikoo Place, which opens in 2021, will be seamlessly connected with seven other office towers in Taikoo Place through an elevated air-conditioned walkway designed by Paris-based design studio Hugh Dutton Associés.

Two landscaped plazas, Taikoo Square and Taikoo Garden, designed by the award-winning London-based landscape architecture practice Gustafson Porter + Bowman, are also under development. The two gardens, comprising stunning water features, lush greenery and quiet pathways, will provide nearly 70,000 sq ft of open green space for the community to enjoy.
