Need a trim? The Barber Shop has recently opened, offering standard cuts and beard trims for men, basic cuts for women and even styles for kids, all with classic service and style. The salon is decked out like a traditional barbershop, with tiled floors and even a barber’s pole. They plan to offer wet shaves soon, so stay tuned!

UNSUIKYO pop-up
Maker House in Cityplaza hosts a rotating range of young designers and emerging brands, selected in partnership with the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups. The space is currently showcasing UNSUIKYO, which will last until mid-November. Its funky Japanese eyewear using designs inspired by nature would make a great Christmas gift.

Tong Chong Street Market
Tong Chong Street Market is back! The food market with sustainability at its heart features a coffee theme this month, with 20 local and overseas vendors, including four from Taiwan, showcasing their unique take on coffee. Keep an eye out for coffee-flavoured chicken wings and other speciality products like the first ever Hong Kong-made gin.

Hong Kong Asian Film Festival 2018
Now in its 15th edition, the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival returns with screenings of over 70 films from veteran and emerging directors. The films cover a wide array of topics and styles, including a tribute to Japanese actress Kiki Kirin, workshops by director Lee Sang-il and debuts from exciting new directors.

White Christmas Street Fair: HOMETOWN HEROES
The White Christmas Street Fair is back. This year, the fair will take us all on a heart-warming journey with the Starstreet Precinct and Tong Chong Street, Taikoo Place transformed into quaint train stations reminiscent of traditional Xmas family get-togethers filled with loved ones, friends, mouth-watering food and plenty of Yuletide joy.

Sparkle: Journal of a Foot Soldier and Show Art’s Hand: An Investigation on Art Labour
Oi! art space has recently opened two new exhibitions as part of the Sparkle series, Journal of a Foot Soldier and Show Art’s Hand: An Investigation on Art Labour. The first exhibition explores modern city living through the perspective of a city walker with additional artist-led walks, while the second exhibition focuses on arts education, labour and includes various interactive elements. Both are open to 6th January 2019, so drop by on your way home one day.
