An estimated 170 tonnes of clothing are thrown away every day in Hong Kong. This is equivalent to around 1.2 million t-shirts entering our landfills daily. This October, Swire Properties is once again partnering with Redress to support the “Get Redressed Month 2022 – Textile Recycling Campaign” to help reduce clothing waste and encourage more mindful consumption.
From 3 to 21 October 2022, you are welcome to donate any pre-loved clothes and drop them in the public donation boxes in Taikoo Place. The clothes will be sorted for reuse by 20+ local charities, resell to raise funds for Redress’ work, or recycled by Redress’ partners.
