Visit “BOOKS FOR LOVE @$10” charity book sale, which brings together thousands of preloved reads for all interests and all ages at two locations at Taikoo Place! This year’s sale will feature 14 book categories and a special zone dedicated to novelist Ni Kuang’s works. Each book is priced at HK$10, and readers can enjoy a “Buy 10 Get 1 Free” offer.
Highlights of the event include:
• The popular Interactive Storytelling Showtime features a line-up of storytelling partners to inspire young readers through a selection of themes, and interactive programmes. A limited number of seats will be available for on-site registration, on a first-come, first-served basis.
• The 501st Hong Kong Garrison session, made up of a group of Star Wars enthusiasts, is one of the most anticipated gatherings. Young fans are invited to dress up as Star Wars characters and redeem Star Wars-themed gifts.
• Apart from being a Storytelling Partner, the 501st Hong Kong Garrison will also make flash appearances for photo sessions and meet and greets, from 3 pm to 4:30 pm on 23 and 30 April.
• In memory of novelist Ni Kuang, a special zone has been dedicated to his works, specifically for his science-fiction novels. Fans can also collect the free limited-edition “Jin Yong × Ni Kuang” bookmarks designed by illustrator Jessica Ho.
•This year’s event will feature three custom illustrations, as well as a limited-edition and specially-designed foldable shopping cart, by Bubble Inc., which will be available for sale in limited numbers.
• An “All You Can LEGO” zone will be set up at Berkshire House for children to learn through play.
Sponsored by Swire Properties, all proceeds from “BOOKS FOR LOVE @ $10” will go to the “Treasure Trove” project led by the BGCA and for AVS to promote the development of sustainable volunteerism.
