Founded in London in 1986, Pret is the short form of the British household name of Pret A Manger (“Ready to Eat”). In 2002, the first outlet is opened in Hong Kong. Pret’s sandwiches, salads and wraps are handmade fresh throughout the day using carefully sourced ingredients. Pret offers unsold food to charity at the end of the day. Pret currently has approximately 500 shops in nine countries.
What’s new with us
Pret is now up on Phenix app (launched by OnTheList), a food rescue mobile app that sells food merchants’ daily surplus food that are still perfectly edible and nutritious at the end of the day at a minimum 50% discount.
By extending the food shelf life, it avoids good food from being destroyed, diverts waste from landfill and reduces unnecessary emissions and energy wastage generated by food production. Every purchase through Phenix app is an important support towards zero-food waste.
