Swire Properties Arts Month 2018 Highlights
For the sixth consecutive year, Swire Properties will be sponsoring and hosting events at Art Basel in Hong Kong. On top of that, exhibitions, art installations, live street art and performances will be held at Taikoo Place for the rest of the art month. Here are the details:

Hong Kong Sinfonietta ArtisTree Residency features Notating Beauty That Moves – Music at an Exhibition: 3-29 Mar
This is an exhibition and performance series curated by two leading Hong Kong artists; Samson Young, the award-winning sound artist, and Yang Yeung, Founding Member and Artistic Director of soundpocket. Exploring the relationship between the motion of the musicians and the notation on the score, the exhibition will showcase 36 artworks ranging from works-on-paper and drawings, to moving images, texts, photography and paintings. Accompanying the exhibition will be a series of concerts featuring members of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta and the acclaimed Australian group, Ensemble Offspring. Visit here for details. ArtisTree, 1/F Cambridge House, free admission.

Urban Art at Taikoo Park, Taikoo Place: 22 - 24 Mar
Urban Art is Swire Properties’ collaboration with leading architecture and design firm Aedas to celebrate street art at Taikoo Place. Three British artists - Phil Ashcroft (third image), Graeme Brusby (aka Xenz; fourth image) and Duncan Jago (aka Mr Jago; fifth image) will paint murals in Taikoo Park to infuse this space with street art’s vibrant energy while showcasing the art form in to front of audience. The murals will be available for purchase on smaller canvasses to raise funds for the Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation’s programme for disadvantaged and underprivileged youth.

Remi Rough at Quarry Bay MTR: from 23 March onwards
British artist Remi Rough (sixth image) is breathing new life into the Taikoo Place exit of Quarry Bay MTR station with a vibrant, site-specific, geometric mural. The work has been commissioned by Swire Properties and MTR, in partnership with Aedas with the intention of creating an artistic, visual experience for everyday commuters. Soon, tenants of Taikoo Place can have an early dose of inspiration to start their mornings.

Swire Properties VIP Lounge & Dialogue Series at Art Basel in Hong Kong: 29 – 31 Mar
Alongside the Art Basel, Swire Properties will once again engage guests at their VIP Lounge. Designed by award-winning Hong Kong architect Stanley Siu and named Cumulus, the lounge is a free-flowing space inspired by the natural beauty and grandeur of clouds in the sky. Cumulus will serve as the venue for the much-anticipated Swire Properties Dialogue Series, a specially curated series of talks and panel discussions by leading art-world figures including: Tim Marlow (Artistic Director, Royal Academy of Arts), Daan Roosegaarde (Dutch artist and innovator), Nicholas Baume (Director and Chief Curator, Public Art Fund) and Conrad Shawcross (British artist), among others. The series will stimulate meaningful dialogues across art, design and architecture, to encourage the exchange of ideas that lead to more enriched and sustainable communities.

Lai See Packets Reuse and Recycling Programme: until 19 Mar
Don’t throw away your lai see packets, recycle them! Swire Properties has joined hands with Greeners Action to set up collection points across their office buildings and malls for used, but undamaged lai see packets. They will then be handed over to shelter workshops, to be processed for reuse, instead of ending up in landfill. Just another way Swire Properties is trying to keep the planet green. For the full list of collection points, click here.

Taikoo Place Blood Donation Day: 20-22 Mar (10am - 5pm)
Be selfless, donate blood and save lives. Taikoo Place is putting together a blood drive in Dorset House, so drop in, but just remember a few things you should prepare prior to being pricked. Sleep enough the night before, consume food within four hours before donation, drink sufficient water, wear clothes with loose sleeves, and make sure you have your ID with you. 12/F Dorset House

Earth Hour 2018 Let Nature Shine: 24 Mar
Every year, Taikoo Place is a proud supporter of Earth Hour. This time on Saturday, 24 March at 8:30pm, Taikoo Place will be turning off non-essential lights in the office buildings, on external facades, on advertisements and on sky signs for one hour. It may be a small gesture, but Swire Properties is always in for sustainability.
